Why Therapy X?

We're multidisciplinary and more importantly, we work collaboratively with our colleagues in different services with many of our clients! There are a lot of clinics offering multiple services in one space, but do clients really get integrated care?

At Therapy X, we understand and know that some times, one service cannot do it all. We therefore, lean on one another and work together to create the most efficient and effective treatment plan to achieve the goals of our clients with longevity in mind.

We have a growing list of clinicians at Therapy X including Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Kinesiology, Personal training, Active Rehab, and Fascial Stretch Therapy. Click here to learn more about the list of services we offer at Therapy X.

What should I know before my first appointment?

Have you filled out the online consent form sent to the e-mail you provided? What are your goals for treatment? Your practitioner is interested in working with you as a team to achieve your highest values together.

If you're booking in for your first appointment, we usually recommend booking 2-3 follow up sessions just in case as our practitioners' schedules book up quickly. This ensures you will have the continuity of care you may need to execute your treatment plan.

What should I wear to my appointment?

For men, we recommend bringing a pair of shorts with you to your appointment and for women, shorts and a sports bra or tank top. Wearing attire that does not restrict your movements will greatly help your practitioner perform a more accurate assessment.

Understanding your coverage can be confusing. Here are a few things to know:

  • You have pre-approved treatments ready for you to use within the first 12 weeks after the date of your accident.
  • You do not need a doctor’s referral to come in for an assessment.
  • Time is of the essence so, do not delay starting your treatment plan.
  • If you need additional therapy or you wait to come in after the 12 weeks, ICBC will require a doctor’s referral and additional reports for coverage to be approved.

Pre-approved limits for accidents:

  • Physiotherapy: 25 treatments
  • Chiropractic: 25 treatments
  • Massage Therapy: 12 treatments
  • Kinesiology: 12 treatments

What training do Therapy X therapists have?

Our therapists have a wide range of experience and training, ranging from Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, and much more. We pride ourselves on being able to bring our best practice to our clients. We therefore, dedicate our practice to continually taking courses each year to upgrade our knowledge and skills in order to bring the best version of practice to our clients.

How long does a session last?

Sessions usually range from 30 to 60 minutes depending on your treatment plan. Please speak with your therapist directly about what to expect in your session.

Will I get treated during my initial assessment?

Yes, absolutely! Initial assessments range from 45 to 60 minutes in order to allow your therapist enough time to gather all necessary information from your assessment and end the session with some treatment and exercise prescription. After we understand your needs, we can recommend a more tailored treatment plan.

How can Therapy X help me if I'm not in pain?

At Therapy X, we are movement experts. You don't need to be in pain or have an injury to benefit from our services. We truly believe in taking a proactive approach to your physical health. If time is taken to regularly address the muscular tension felt in your body, fix improper movement patterns, and address lifestyle factors to deal with the minor discomfort felt before they become an injury, you will live a pain-free life doing what you love to do, for longer.

Do I need a doctor's referral to see a Therapy X therapist?

No, you do not need a referral to book an appointment. However, if you do have a preexisting medical condition, it’s helpful for your therapist to be prepared for it prior to your arrival. Upon booking, please inform your therapist before your assessment and bring any necessary documentation on that day.

How much coverage do I have?

Your coverage will be unique to your plan. Please check with your coverage provider for this information. Unfortunately, we are not able to check how much coverage you have as insurance providers only release this information to the plan holder.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

No problem! If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, we ask that you give our therapists a minimum of 24 hours notice. Those who have a late cancellation or no show within the 24 hour window will be charged the full amount for their session.

I want to join your team!

We’re always looking for qualified practitioners to join the Therapy X team. Contact us for more information. We'd love to meet you and see if your values and practice aligns with ours!

You're all booked up, what do I do?
