STEP 3 OF 3
Kinesiology & Active Rehab Care
What to Expect: DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) - feeling muscle fatigue 24-48 hours later is a normal part of your body's adjustment and recovery process. You may notice progressive strength as active rehab builds functional stability and resilience.
DO'S
- DO stay hydrated.
- DO perform your prescribed home exercises as instructed by your registered kinesiologist.
- DO prioritize sleep and nutrition to support active muscle recovery.
DON'TS
- DON'T return too quickly to activities that aggravate your symptoms.
- DON'T exercise through pain. Mild muscle discomfort or soreness can be normal, but sharp or persistent pain is not. If you experience pain, reduce the resistance or number of repetitions. Stop the exercise if the pain continues and discuss it with your clinician at your next session.
