Jonathan Qian is a dedicated candidate for Registered Massage Therapy, having already graduated from Langara College, he is currently challenging the board exam.
Throughout his education, Jonathan gained hands-on experience working with clients at various outreach programs. He treated neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, hemiplegia, and multiple sclerosis at ICORD Outreach, and orthopaedic conditions including bicipital tendinitis, shoulder dislocations, frozen shoulder, Achilles tendinitis, and hamstring tendinitis at facilities such as Gold's Gym and Hive Climbing and Fitness. Jonathan’s approach is rooted in the importance of informed consent, integrating home care to ensure long-term progress for his clients.
Jonathan’s passion for massage therapy and rehabilitation is deeply personal. His love for fitness and basketball made injury prevention and rehabilitation a key part of his life, but it was a family member’s experience that truly solidified his path. After a car accident revealed a benign intracranial tumor causing increased pressure, Jonathan learned the importance of proper assessment, informed consent, and home care, ensuring that each treatment is safe, ethical, and effective for every client.
Driven by the motto, "Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard," Jonathan is continuously looking to grow as a healthcare practitioner. He is committed to tailoring each treatment plan to meet the unique needs of his clients, making treatments for client's goal centred.
On his days off, Jonathan enjoys working out and binge-watching One Piece as part of his personal time for relaxation and fun.
